In the case of handling
bio hazardous experiments, such as Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy
(BSE) tests, researchers must ensure that the rotors are
biohazard-proof. If the tubes were broken by chance during
the centrifugation, samples would become aerosol and spread
around, increasing the biohazard danger against the researchers
tremendously.
Biohazard-proof rotors, such as AF-2730, AT-2730M, and
AF-5004CS, are ensured to maintain the aerosol and sample
liquid between the rotor and its lid, certified
with CAMR standard test procedures. AF-2730
and AT-2730M accept 30 x 2mL tubes over 21,000Xg, while
AF-5004CS accepts 4 x 50mL TC tubes over 14,000Xg. In
addition, AF-2730 and AT-2730M, including the rotor and
its lid, are autoclavable
to eliminate bio hazardous contamination such as prion. |
