Three types of high speed micro refrigerated centrifuges
KUBOTA is producing three types of high speed micro refrigerated centrifuges to meet the various requirements of the customers. To see the difference among them click below for more information.

High Speed Conical Rotor, AF-5004CH
Isolating "sticky" proteins requires high g-force, at which tube breakage, such as neck bending, is common. Kubota's newly designed high-speed conical rotor allows safe centrifugation up to 22,140xg for isolating even the stickiest of protein.

Biohazard-proof rotor
Biohazard-proof rotors are ensured to maintain the aerosol and sample liquid between the rotor and its lid, certified with CAMR standard test procedures

Automatic rotor identification and one-touch rotor function
The automatic rotor identification and one-touch rotor functions, developed using KUBOTA's advanced technologies, facilitate easy interchange of rotors. These functions enable changing rotors, corresponding to applicationsー requirements, without setting the rotor IDs or fastening rotors.

Pre-cooling (unit which is made after March, 2002)
The pre-cooling function saves on the amount of time required to reach low temperature and protects those samples that are easily deactivated at normal temperature. Under typical conditions applying samples with high speed requires a long time to reach desired the low temperature. In such cases, pre-cooling enables reaching a low temperature before the experiments, thus saving valuable time. In addition, Genomics experiments, such as DNA or RNA purification, require the maintenance of a low operating temperature in order to obtain valid results.

Multi rotor for micro tubes, MF-2236
The MF-2236, a multi rotor for micro tubes, provides a reasonable solution to apply various types and sizes of tubes simply by changing buckets. For example, the MF-2236 accepts 8 PCR-strips, and 0.4, 0.5 and 2mL tubes.

g.sec integrator function
The g.sec integrator function optimizes the protocols in those cases where customers need to achieve exactly the same centrifugal effect. One can obtain the same effect just by setting the g.sec value in the 3700 model. The g.sec integrator function enables one to control centrifuge spins with the same centrifugal effect and to calculate g.sec value.

Acceleration/Deceleration (Three-level switching)
The 3700 model provides Three-level switching for both acceleration and deceleration, corresponding to application requirements. For example, in those cases where one must avoid whirring up the samples, a slow deceleration can be programmed so as to achieve the desired conditions and most accurate results.

Foot pedal
(Option)
An optional foot pedal (option) allows hands-free lid opening, enabling the interlock mechanism to be released by a foot pedal.

Alarm indicator and automatic stop functions
Various alarm indicators and automatic stop functions improve safety further and stop the operation immediately after activation in the case of an emergency. The 3700 model is equipped with an alarm indication function including imbalance detection, abnormally high temperature detection, speed sensor and temperature sensor fault detection. The rotor sensor detects whether the rotor is set correctly to the drive shaft. In addition, the unit is fitted with a circuit breaker.
