| More information on the 5500 model |
  |
Rotor Temperature Compensation |
| Handling temperature-sensitive
samples such as protein or gene, accurate temperature
control is required. In fact, rotor temperature will be
important factor. A rotor temperature control function
can be chosen to monitor and maintain the rotor temperature
at ideal level. |
|
Pre-cooling |
| Generally, proteins
are easily deactivated at normal temperature. Under
typical conditions applying samples with high speed
requires a long time to reach the desired low temperature.
In such cases, pre-cooling enables the samples to reach
a low temperature before the experiment, thus avoiding
deactivation of valuable samples. |
|
Alarm indicator and automatic stop functions |
| Various alarm indicators
and automatic stop functions improve safety further
and stop the operation immediately after activation
in the case of an emergency. The 5500 model is equipped
with an alarm indication function including imbalance
detection, abnormally high temperature detection, speed
sensor and temperature sensor fault detection. The
rotor sensor detects whether the rotor is set correctly
to the drive shaft (Patent pending). In addition, the
unit is fitted with a circuit breaker is fitted. |
|
Automatic rotor identification (Patent pending) |
| Rotor type is automatically
identified and over-speed detection is enabled when
a rotor is simply placed on the driver shaft. |
|
Memory flashing function (Patent pending) |
| The memory flashing
function makes the spin-down easy and simple by storing
previous spinning time automatically, then recalling
repeatedly. Pressing the flashing key, same operation
whose spinning time is from 1 second to 90 seconds
can be repeated. |
|
g.sec integrator function |
| The g.sec integrator
function optimizes the protocols in those cases where
customers need to achieve exactly the same centrifugal
effect. One can obtain the same effect just by setting
the g.sec value in the 5500 model. The g.sec integrator
function enables one to control centrifuge spins with
the same centrifugal effect and to calculate g.sec
value. |
|
Acceleration/Deceleration (Three-level
switching) |
| The 5500 model provides
Three-level switching for both acceleration and deceleration,
corresponding to application requirements. For example,
in those cases where one must avoid whirring up the
samples, a slow deceleration can be programmed so as
to achieve the desired conditions and most accurate
results. |
|
5 channel memory settings |
| The memory setting function
makes routine work easy and simple, storing centrifugal
speed, RCF and time. It is possible to save, recall and
operate the centrifugal condition. |
|
Tachometer-port |
| The 5500 has a tachometer-port
on its lid to check the actual speed. The validation
of the speed sensor by measuring the actual speed is
highly needed for stringent GMP requirements. |
|
Auto interlock lid |
| Lid of 5500 can be opened
and closed using one hand. To close the lid, push slightly
and the lid locks automatically by an electrical interlock
system. On the other hand, press the lid open key and
the lid opens automatically after releasing the interlock
and a newly designed gas spring produces smooth and
quick opening. |
|
Delayed start function |
| The operation automatically
starts after the preset duration from pressing the START
key. This function enables centrifuging of the fresh blood
that is taken out at the time just when the erythrocytes
coagulate. |
|
Eco mode |
| To save the power, the
display and refrigerator automatically turns off 10 minites
after operation. |
