In
choosing a centrifuge which is able to accept a large
volume of bottles with high g-force, the 7700
is the best choice. For the applications such as proteomics,
both high g-force and large volume are necessary. The
AG-5006 rotor and the AG-2506 rotor allow spinning six
each of the 500mL bottles (3,000mL) over 12,000xg, six
each of the 250mL bottles (1,500mL) over 20,000xg, respectively.
In choosing a centrifuge able
to accept plate applications, the 7700 model
is highly recommended. Genomics continues to require larger
number of samples, and plate applications fit with this
trend. The RS-750G rotor is able to accept 12 x microtiter
plates over 5,000xg. The RMP-89G, RMP-21G and RS-745GS
are also available for different kinds of protocols.
If applying various sizes and
kinds of rotors is a priority, the 7700 model
is the ideal choice. A wide variety of rotors, from large-
to small-size fixed angle rotors to micro-titer plate
or swinging bucket rotors, meet whatever the customer's
requirements. For example, carbon fiber rotors accelerate
and decelerate in a shorter time, saving the time for
experiments. In addition, the automatic rotor identification
function, developed using KUBOTA's expertise, enables
one to change rotors without setting rotors ID. |
